Historic Preservation Commission

Since it was established during the colonial era, Thornbury Township has a wealth of historic resources including native american sites, historic farms, and a battlefield from the War of Independence.

The Township maintains a comprehensive documentation of all its historic resources, which can be inspected at the Township offices.

Historic Preservation Commission Meetings

The Historic Preservation Commission meets  quarterly on the SECOND  WEDNESDAY of the month.

There are some exceptions to make allowance for holidays and summer vacations.

Please check the calendar on the home page to see if a meeting has been changed or cancelled.

Historic Preservation Commission Special Meeting

On April 18, 2018 beginning at 7 PM, the HPC will review the application for the demolitions of the historic resources on 4 Huntrise Lane. This meeting will take place at the Township building, 8 Township Drive, Cheyney, PA.
